                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSURE OF M.L. KING BOULEVARD AND CHERRY
                   STREET, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN,
                   ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 1991 AND
                   WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 1991 FOR THE GLENN
                   MILLER ORCHESTRA PERFORMANCE SPONSORED BY
                   THE CHATTANOOGA DOWNTOWN PARTNERSHIP UNDER
                   CERTAIN CONDITIONS.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       temporary closing of M.L. King Boulevard from Market Street to
       Cherry Street and Cherry Street from M.L. King Boulevard to 8th
       Street from 5:30 P.M. on Tuesday, September 10, 1991 to 1:00 A.M. 

       on Wednesday, September 11, 1991 for the Glenn Miller Orchestra
       Performance under the sponsorship of the Chattanooga Downtown
       Partnership provided that the sponsor shall set out flasher
       barricades and warning signs in accordance with the traffic
       control plan attached hereto and shall provide, at all times,
       an access lane for emergency vehicles.
